Supervision
If you work in ministry, chaplaincy, education, healthcare, or any demanding helping role, you already know what it costs. Doing this work well over the long haul requires more than good intentions. It requires a reflective space where you can be honest about your practice, your role, and yourself, without needing to perform or protect.
That’s what supervision is for.
What I Offer
I provide both pastoral and professional supervision, and what makes my approach distinctive is that I bring both clinical training and pastoral formation to the space. Many pastoral supervisors have deep theological insight but limited psychological training. Many professional supervisors have strong clinical frameworks but little understanding of ministry life. I hold both.
Pastoral Supervision
For pastors, chaplains, and ministry workers. Theologically informed, psychologically grounded, and professionally boundaried. I call this Professional Pastoral Supervision.
I’ve spent over twenty years in pastoral ministry myself, from large urban church contexts through to small, rural and remote settings. I understand the unique pressures, and I’ve lived some of them.
Pastoral supervision is not counselling, not spiritual direction, and not line management, though aspects of all three may surface. The focus stays on your practice: how you’re doing the work, how the work is doing you, and what needs attention.
Professional Supervision
For educators, healthcare professionals, care workers, and others in demanding helping roles, whether in faith-based or secular settings. Grounded in reflective practice and informed by models like the Transforming Experience Framework.
I bring direct experience of healthcare systems through years of involvement in regional health governance, so if you work in health, I understand something of the system you’re working within, not just the role.
You don’t need to be a person of faith to work with me. The supervision space is shaped by your context and your needs, not mine.
